Would you read this weight loss book?

A book written as a journal by a person who lost like 30 lbs in 2 months.
No diet pills
No “dieting”
Just a healthy lifestyle and some fun exercise

Its quetionable. It depends on how they did it. Can you add more detail?

If it was done in a healthy manner you may have something. Did you have a nutritionist of doctor helping/monitoring you? I believe it is more likely to be published if there is a way to verify your process.

Otherwise you would need some other way to catch the reader – like some dramatic lifestyle change or story to accompany your effort.

Either way it is quite the accomplishment! All the best to your effort…

A journal is a good idea for a weight loss book, as long as there is good reason to believe that it’s not too heavily embellished.

I’d be a bit skeptical how this person lost 30 pounds in 2 months. This person lost weight at a rate that is much higher than is recommended.

What people don’t tell you is how dangerous it can be to lose weight too fast. Generally for the first 2 or 3 weeks you will lost a lot of weight because your body is also getting rid of water, but after that you should lose no more than 2 pounds a week. If you’re losing more than, you probably aren’t eating enough, and if you aren’t eating enough your body isn’t getting the nutrients it needs. Plus, if you try to go back to eating normal after eating so little, your body can do a bit of a freak out and you might gain a lot of it back. So slow and steady really does win out in the end.

But just out of simple curiosity I’d read this book. I would just be careful about following the plan this person used.

I would possibly read it just see what is different compared to any other I have read.

I would definitely read it. I think we all know intellectually how to lose weight (eat less and exercise more), but it sometimes takes just the right comment or idea to trigger something that will make you successful. I read in another book recently about “seeing yourself as someone who can lose weight” and that meant something to me because I realized I haven’t been believing in myself. Your journal may contain something that would be just what someone needs.

Probably not, since the market is FLOODED with these sort of things. The world does not need another weight loss book. It needs people to get off their butts and excerise!
